Ever closer.
Since our last update barely a week ago, a lot has gone down at the RailBlazer site as crews inch ever closer. With the ride 99% physically complete only wiring remains, but thematic touches are already going in and my oh my do they look great!
Very few tasks remain before the crew can start pull throughs and eventual testing.

Home StretchWith other particular rides taking longer work has somewhat slowed down, but fear not there's still much to do and much to get right.
Take a breather. With this long delay of its sister, the park has been able to take their time and really get things right with the amenities and aesthetic of RailBlazer, particularly this rest area under the upward helix.
These rest areas will allow you to get very close to the ride's supports and single 15.5 inch width rail. It surely will make for some great up close shots which is much appreciated in my book.

Off to the side of the site the extended queue is nearing completion. Concrete is poured, dried and posts for the awning/roof are in place.
The station as you can see is pretty much finished. Windows are in, and the exterior has been adorned with the same intentionally uneven wooden planks seen on the ride photo booth (photo below). Similar fencing to GoldStriker has been put in place to keep guests out of dangerous areas while still preserving the visuals guests want.
Also you might notice a black pipe sticking up out of the rocks next to the light post on the left, that's likely for the on-ride photo equipment.

When I passed by the first time on Saturday this group was working on the roof panels cutting out a little hole to let the little pipe on top through. As expected the booth has now a cabin look to it and it looks great.
I must say that whomever was in charge of painting the rockwork did a fantastic job, I can hardly tell which is real and which isn't. :)
As before the sign will be placed later, but the base and posts for it are already there.
I did get a chance to speak with Raul Rehnborg, the park's VP and General Manager. He did answer that some of the brakes are magnetic and that the lift, despite having the typical anti-rollbacks know for noise, the lift will still be silent. Interesting.
With the end coming closer to us the three trains are now on the track. The yellow and red are on the transfer and the green train is on the turn-around into the station. Pull through will hopefully begin soon.
Luckily the queue will let us get up close and personal with the park's new boulders as this path will pass over the water and between all the twisted track and rocks. It's gonna be a very pretty queue and I'm really liking how it's coming along.
